The Build a Bike Project - Rumble Magazine
After Edition 4 of the Build a Bike Project, I began tearing down Xcess and getting it prepped for paint. Here are just a few photos of the work that has been going on since the last article ran in Rumble Magazine.

I begin the paint prep process by masking off the various parts and getting them ready for the base coat of paint. In these pictures you will see the various steps taken from masking to pinstriping to final clear coats.

In these pictures Xcess's frame has received its base coat and the graphics are applied. The frame now awaits Tony to get to work on the pinstriping.

Xcess is beginning to show some signs of life. The custom seat, made by Guy, has been delivered and attached to see how it fits. Notice the added details of the seat and the fabrication on the rear fender that it fits into.

The gas tank and rear fender graphics have been completed and Tony is adding the pinstriping where needed.

Putting On The Final Touches

Well...Xcess is finally all put together and ready to show off. First stop is the Grand National Roadster Show, where Xcess took 2nd Place in the Radical Custom Class. Next I will be showing off Xcess at Westworld during AZ Bike Week and Cyclefest.
